Historical reconstruction plays a crucial role in preserving the architectural heritage of major cities in Uzbekistan. This article examines reconstruction practices in Tashkent and Samarkand, focusing on the challenges of maintaining authenticity while integrating historical sites into modern urban environments. Through a comparative analytical approach, the study identifies key methods, preservation strategies, and the impact of reconstruction on cultural identity and tourism development. The findings highlight the importance of balanced, scientifically grounded restoration practices that ensure sustainable urban growth and heritage protection.
