Abstract

This article provides a scientific and methodological substantiation for the effectiveness of integrating digital technologies—specifically the Desmos graphing calculator—into the pedagogical process of teaching gas molecule velocity distribution. The study explores theoretical principles, including one-dimensional velocity distribution, absolute speed distribution functions, and relative velocity transformations. By leveraging the Desmos platform, these complex physical concepts, along with fundamental problems such as determining molecular fractions within specific velocity intervals, are interpreted with significantly greater precision and a higher degree of visualization compared to traditional instructional methods. The results demonstrate that the interactive nature of this approach enhances students' intuitive understanding and strengthens their conceptual grasp of statistical mechanics.
